b"So whether you eat or drink or whatever you do, do it all for the glory of God. Do not cause anyone to stumble, whether Jews, Greeks or the church of God -- even as I try to please everybody in every way.  For I am not seeking my own good but the good of many, so that they may be saved.  Follow my example as I follow the example of Christ." (1Cor. 10:31 - 11:1 NIV)

SCBC Youth Ministries - from Sunrise to Sunset
doing all in the Name of Christ

Welcome to the Sunset Chinese Baptist Church Youth Ministry page. We are blessed to serve the Lord in the various youth fellowships that meet at our church. The Youth Ministry exist to make disciples for our Lord Jesus Christ. We do this by imparting the faith through relationships. We minister to our students using Paul's model:

Our desire is to impart to students the liberating truth of the gospel of Jesus Christ. Genuine freedom and liberty will only be found in a relationship with our Savior. We invite you to check us out! There is a staff of dedicated volunteers who are waiting to meet you as well as a student body who are eager to get to know you.

Our Theme

We must pay more careful attention, therefore, to what we have heard, so that we do not drift away. For if the message spoken by angels was binding, and every violation and disobedience received its just punishment, how shall we escape if we ignore such a great salvation? This salvation, which was first announced by the Lord, was confirmed to us by those who heard him. (Heb. 2:1-3 NIV)

Praise be to the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ! In his great mercy he has given us new birth into a living hope through the resurrection of Jesus Christ from the dead, and into an inheritance that can never perish, spoil or fade-- kept in heaven for you, who through faith are shielded by God's power until the coming of the salvation that is ready to be revealed in the last time. In this you greatly rejoice, though now for a little while you may have had to suffer grief in all kinds of trials. These have come so that your faith-- of greater worth than gold, which perishes even though refined by fire-- may be proved genuine and may result in praise, glory and honor when Jesus Christ is revealed. Though you have not seen him, you love him; and even though you do not see him now, you believe in him and are filled with an inexpressible and glorious joy, for you are receiving the goal of your faith, the salvation of your souls. (1Pet. 1:3-9 NIV)
